The Impact of Declining Birth Rates on Sweden's Economy and Welfare

In November 2025, a private meeting was held at the Swedish Ambassador's Residence at the invitation of the Swedish Embassy.

The topics discussed at that time included the effects of declining birth rates on national economies and welfare policy.

The Pension Future Forum was represented by its leader and two secretaries-general (three participants in total), who engaged in active exchanges of views.

On February 9, 2026, the Swedish Embassy forwarded a publication authored by the Swedish participants who attended that meeting.

As the publication appears to contain substantial material relevant to pension policy, it is posted here in the Overseas Cases category of the Pension Future Forum Insights section.
