Former lawmaker Yoon took issue, through her Facebook that morning, with the fact that the National Pension Fund Management Committee had recently held a meeting earlier than in previous years and raised the proportion of domestic investment, arguing in effect that this was a decision influenced by the President's remarks.

The former lawmaker argued that the entire fund management structure must be overhauled in order to restore public trust in the National Pension. She said, “For the independence of the National Pension and the stability of fund management, the composition of the Fund Management Committee must be completely overhauled from the ground up,” adding, “Just who among the list below could anyone possibly trust with their retirement savings?”
She went on, “politics has made the National Pension's fund management structure into something it can push around and is now shaking it however it likes,” and stressed, “if you think of the citizens who worry about poverty in old age, politics must please guarantee the expertise and independence of National Pension fund management and withdraw completely.”
