Pension Future Forum: “Key Information Omitted from the Pension Reform Public Deliberation Process…A Revote Is Needed” (KBS, 2024.04.24)

Regarding the fact that the citizen representative group participating in the public deliberation on National Pension reform chose the ‘pay more, receive more’ plan by a larger margin, pension researchers have argued that there were problems in the deliberation process and that a revote is necessary.

The ‘Pension Future Forum,’ composed of pension-related researchers including Yoon Seok-myung, Research Fellow Emeritus at the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs, issued a position statement today (the 24th) urging that the vote be held again, saying that key content was not conveyed during the citizen representative group’s learning process for the National Pension reform deliberation.
